| Natural Convergence silhouette Release 3.1 Enables More Feature-rich Hosted VoIP Service for Small Business Customers
Enhancements Boost the Small Business Administrator’s Productivity and Improve Service Providers’ Business Case
Ottawa, Ontario—June 18, 2007— Natural Convergence Inc., a supplier of hosted VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) software for service providers supporting the small business market, announced the general availability of Release 3.1 of its silhouette product. Natural Convergence—with 20,000 licenses in use–is already established as an industry leader in hosted key systems. Natural Convergence improves VoIP service providers’ business case with silhouette 3.1, introducing a host of new value-added features that enhance small business administrators’ Web-based control over their organizations’ services.
“Our primary focus with Release 3.1 is to allow the small business administrators to be more productive,” said David Cork, Chief Executive Officer, Natural Convergence. “With the enhanced features in silhouette 3.1, we are helping the administrators manage their companies’ most vital tool, their communications system, more effectively and efficiently—without having to call their service providers’ help desks. This, in turn, improves our service-provider customers’ revenue opportunities and profitability.”
With silhouette 3.1, Natural Convergence has automated the small business administrator’s most common tasks. Default call-coverage settings can be utilized, freeing the administrator from manual configuration of each user’s settings. Administrators can quickly reset voice-mail access personal identification numbers (PINs) without involving the VoIP service provider—a time-saving measure, as users frequently forget their voice-mail PINs. Release 3.1 also gives administrators per-user control over the outgoing-call numbers to be shown on recipients’ phones; this enables the small business to protect the confidentiality of particular users and ensure that calls are returned properly.
Other new features made available with Release 3.1 of silhouette include enhanced intercom and paging capabilities, hands-free answer back and a more customizable auto attendant’s directory. Natural Convergence has added French and Dutch as options for user languages, enabling service providers to support small businesses in more markets worldwide. Additionally, the range of IP phones that a small business can use has been expanded, increasing a service provider’s flexibility to support a wider array of equipment.
“Natural Convergence’s constant development of features in silhouette is providing us with the tools we need to be successful in the small business market,” said Jay Swayze, Presidentof BluArc Communications (www.bluarc.ca). “Small businesses are replacing their aging key systems, and Natural Convergence enables us to profitably address this market opportunity. The improvements and the added functionality of theself-service features in silhouette 3.1 furtherreduces our customer-care costs, thereby improving our business case.”
